Just what have I been doing?

Frankly, I do not know. I’m sorry to all who have been concerned or anxious. Primarily, I have just been doing my job which happens to be rather tedious these days as a course comes to a close and a new one in 2 weeks. A temporary expansion of job scope didn’t prove to go down to well. I was physically and mentally tired. I finished work at 1130pm last night and I had a

Batman is a Retard.

For those who caught “The Dark Knight”, I’m sure you all would have been wondering why does Batman have to sound like brute and damage his throat. Below are some of the consequences.

Did you know that Edison Chen had a cameo in “The Dark Knight”? He’s the security guard who handed Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman) his phone.

Are these girls legal?

Do these girls look 16? (Hi Hobbits!) China’s Olympic Gymnasts have come under fire from the International Federation of Gymnastics (FIG) at the Beijing Olympic Games. FIG regulations have raised the minimum age of Olympians to 16 during the Olympic year, that is, the gymnast MUST turn 16 within the year. (It used to be 14, and competitors were found to be underage.) This was done to protect young children from sustaining permanent injuries during training, as children are put through tough and in commonality, impossible forms of training. Children are also less afraid of defeat and failure, they may be put through unacceptable regimes. (Pls let them play with their barbie dolls.)

As of date, China has provided the necessary identification documents for He Kexin (above), Gold Medallist for the Women’s Uneven Bars Event (it’s quite funny to call teenagers women, if you ask me.) & the Team Event. She outdone Nastia Liukin, US Gymnastic Star.

FIG has done preliminary checks on the documents and China seems set to be cleared from ineligibility charges. China seems to have trouble playing by the rules in the history of Olympics. I guess, I’ll look forward to covering the same topic 4 years from now in London. (It’s 2012 Olympics in London, in case you were sleeping through 2005.)

Anyway, today’s the last day of the Olympics and I only caught Li Jiawei in the Team Finals against China, what a life.

Verbatim 002

was it Feng or was it Feng? Jade Seah fumbled over it on “Tonight in Beijing” and became the first person to utter a vulgarity on Singapore’s National Television. Have a good laugh.

In Flagrante Delicto with Antireligion

I think the past few weeks have been a real torture (mentally, not that I was in immense pain). I struggle with with the things of a higher order than what I deserved. What IF some things that everyone takes for granted is wrong and not real?

The Cabbie.

I take the cab almost everyday. Partly because I work at some obscure place which is far from everywhere. I think I really did my part in contributing to economical growth by spending. Having been a good 3 years, what was my experience of “Cabbing“?

404, the Aristocrat

I recieved a training kit from my cadets. I gave the number that I wanted. It was “404″. Why? Because it was the “File not Found” protocol for the internet world, which was what I was pretty much based in. I was given the name “Aristocrat”.

a·ris·to·crat /??r?st??kræt, ?ær?st?-/ [uh-ris-tuh-krat, ar-uh-stuh-]
–noun
1. a member of an aristocracy, esp. a noble.
2. a person who has the tastes, manners, etc., characteristic of members of an aristocracy.
3. an advocate of an aristocratic form of government.
4. anything regarded as the best, most elegant, or most stylish of its kind: the aristocrat of California wines.

[Origin: 1770–80; < F aristocrate, back formation from aristocratie aristocracy]

—Synonyms 1. patrician, peer, lord.

Some things that I recieved

I know my bdae is long overdue. The requirements at work have held me back from a proper social life and erm, life. And so, I come back with a post on something that was really so, “Yesterday“.

I recieved an apple. I remember that quite some years ago, a wise man imparted me his mantra for life. “An apple a day, keeps the doctor away“. He was my GP, when I was attending kindergarten and had a bad case of diarrhoea (yup, that’s how you spell it.) after too much candy. Apparently, I lost my tooth too due to my sweet habit. (That was, some 18 years ago.)

After the 18 years went by, I find myself at the magic figure of 24 (you could go round the Chinese Zodiac. Twice.) In case you’re wondering, CK was my initials for I was aptly named “Chee Keong” by my good parents. I was greatly encouraged by a book of good quotes which served to be a reminder of the thoughts of great people before my time.

I was made to look like Calvin from the comic strip, or so, somebody thought aloud. I was rewarded with candy in trashcans.

My work finally got made, much to my surprise. The digital designs of the of 2 years ago were hand drawn onto actual pics. I couldn’t find a proper printer to make them.

And so it was, as time went by, that my day was made.
